COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

5:00-6:30 p.m.
Pressing Forward courses are developed to assist men and women with pursuing a mature Christian faith. Courses are provided to deepen Bible knowledge, develop a Christian worldview, address contemporary life issues and challenges, support restoration and recovery from problems, and develop skills for a variety of Christian ministries and responsibilities.
All courses begin at 5:00 pm in the Hope Building and conclude between 6:00 & 6:30 pm.
A variety of preschool, children, and student activities complement the evening activities for every member of the family.
To continue the fellowship begun in the classes, an Acts 2:46 meal is served in the Love Building from 6:00 – 7:00 pm each Sunday evening following the Pressing Forward courses. Cost is $5.00 per person.

FAITH Evangelism Training – Part 1
Faith Evangelism is a twelve-week discipleship process that teaches a clear, simple approach for sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. In addition to the class time, participants will make weekly home visits in three member teams. FAITH also teaches how to discuss spiritual matters with lost people in a natural way and share the difference Christ has made in your life. Cost for materials: $15.00

Who Do You Say That I Am? A Study of the Gospel of Luke, Pt 3
Examine the claims of Christ through the eyes of a first century witness – Dr. Luke. Participants will enjoy an in-depth examination of the Gospel of Luke with an emphasis on the life of Christ. No cost for materials.

Gospel of John: The User Guide to Personal Evangelism
This course will focus on studying to be the evangelist God wants us to be. John is the Gospel that many find easy to read but hard to understand. This class will help participants use the simplicity of the Gospel to spread the Word of God to those around them in a unique way. No cost for materials.

Islam: History, Beliefs and Witnessing – Part 1
This course will examine extensively the history and belief systems of Islam as well as discuss how to refute the common arguments for Islam. Sharia law and witnessing to people with Islam beliefs and backgrounds will also be explored. No cost for materials.

Bible Storying – Part 1
Chronological Bible Storying is telling the stories of the Bible in the time order in which they are written. The basic goal of storying is evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, and missions.
